Chemicals and Explosives sourcing from China for leading distributor based in Zimbabwe.
Objective:
The company previously sourced chemicals from different markets across the world through trading houses and occasionally encountered problems with both price and supply. In order to secure their supplies we helped to identify suitable manufacturers in China.
Our Client:
Our client is leading mining chemicals and explosives importer and distributor in Zimbabwe. This company is established, reputable player in the market with more than 25 years in local business, working with large scale mining houses supplying them with wide range of high quality chemicals and explosives.
Methodology:
300cc studied the market in China for several products listed by the client. We then short-listed the top producers for each product and via cooperation with client went through the process of selecting the final supplier. This included factory visits, interviews, quality test, price comparison etc. We also investigated the supplier’s reputation and track record, keeping in mind and considering the huge potential risk in sourcing of chemicals.
Outcome:
300cc became our client’s full time buying agent in China and is now supporting them with monthly sourcing of several products which include: cyanide, caustic soda, grinding media and hydrogen peroxide etc. The product range is reviewed from time to time and expanded.
